What is SEO?

SEO means “Search Engine Optimisation,” a process which helps your website rank higher in search engine results for Google, Yahoo and Bing. This can be very strategic and requires an in-depth knowledge of both the UK market and the various appropriate techniques to employ.

What a lot of competitors will offer is to get you on the first page of Google, which is obviously where everyone wants to be. However, they tend to rank you for search terms that have no search traffic, so you may rank on the first page but don’t benefit in terms of increased search traffic. This is not going to benefit your business in the slightest.

Based on our research, and extensive experience testing and optimising sites over the years, we know that not every website’s requirements are the same, so we offer a selection of packages to cover the majority of websites and business needs. Keyword Analysis
Keyword Analysis is one of the most important ingredients of your SEO strategy. We’ll help you select the optimum keywords to use for your site. Once we’ve shortlisted a few focal keywords, we’ll use specified tools to analyse the search traffic and competition strength. This is to ensure that we do not optimise towards irrelevant phrases which receive little to no traffic.
Website Audit
Our site audit will ensure that you’re website is successfully indexed by Google, and not currently being penalised or displaying anything which could have an adverse effect on your rankings.
Layout Optimisation
We’ll optimise the layout of your website. This may not necessarily mean the design of the site, but rather the site structure and navigation. This can be crucial as many visitors leave a site if they have to struggle to find the information or products they want.
Content Review
We’ll conduct a content review. Perhaps you’ve heard it said that ‘Content is King’. If you serve up useful, informative content, visitors will stay to read more and will also return. We’ll make sure your content is both readable and search engine friendly.
Link Building
This is easily the most important piece when trying to rank amongst the more competitive key-phrases. Google uses the linking structure of the internet as a huge factor when calculating search results. The more websites linking to you, the more your site is seen as an “authority” amongst your competitors, and the more likely Google will rank you higher. Link building is commonly made up from directory listings, article submissions, social bookmarking and website partnership.

When Can I See Results?

This is a very hard question to answer as it depends on so many different factors, and in particular your competition for a given phrase. For example if you want to be number 1 for the phrase ‘Online Dating’, then you are unlikely to be seeing results within a year. However if you want to rank for the phrase ‘Garden Sheds Somerset’ then you can be seeing results within the month.
